As with most of my recurring installments, I've been posting much less lately. I'm focusing more on my mailing list for readers for my ebook. But I couldn't pass up sharing this with you. Didn't believe my own eyes at first. Sitting in a free bin with all sorts of other junk. Yes, I'll liberate those!

LEGO Finds - 2016 Week 6
Back at it. I've missed sharing a few things like the 30+lbs of free LEGO I was given. But that has a backstory for another article. This week I found these small gemlets. Half a Spider-trike, a bald Friend and a book with a LEGO logo on it. Turns out it was official Bionicle fan-fic. I'm about halfway through reading it. I have... no idea what I'm reading. Sometimes I think it's a cookbook but then there's fight scenes. So it's more like The Mafia Cookbook. I'm not sure. Maybe it's a motorcycle manual.
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 47
Quite the haul this week. A massive amount of DUPLO, mostly from sets 10538, some 4665 plus a working siren! Also some liftarms, an older style finger puppet and a crayon someone molded from the minifigure ice cube tray.
LEGO Finds - Contest!
(Contest is over. See results post here.)
I didn't find any free LEGO this week but there was another surprise that finally arrived. With any luck I'll have this project done for Bricks Cascade 2016.
I didn't find any free LEGO this week but there was another surprise that finally arrived. With any luck I'll have this project done for Bricks Cascade 2016.
Contest! This may be dagsbricks.com first ever contest. Guess the part number (easy) AND exact number of pieces (harder) in the photo below and I'll send you something cool. Probably a couple of Dag Bricks sets and my "Insider Secrets to Funding Your LEGO Hobby" ebook. I'll run the contest for about a week or until votes peter out.
Leave your guess as a comment below. One guess per person, only your first guess counts, must contain both items to qualify. The person closest to the supposed number (over or under) will be the winner. In the event of a tie, correct part number will be checked first, then a random selection will be used. You are free to ask any clarifying questions before placing your guess but this is pretty simple. No purchase necessary, a purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
If you were in any way involved in the acquisition of these parts or may be privy to the number of pieces included here, please do not spoil it for everyone else. I've not told anyone except for those who were there when I picked it up. (If you saw me that night with a box in my hand please refrain from entering. Sorry, I didn't think about having this contest until after.)

LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 42
Mrs. Dagsbricks on the LEGO prowl this week. Bunch of random fiddly bits including half of a technic shock absorber. Plus a Quatro brick. Nice finds Mrs. D!
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 40
Mrs. Dagsbricks found a nice little cache of DUPLO this week including some printed 2x2 bricks. Looks like part of set 10532.
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 39
Holy mother of Ole! Mrs. Dagsbricks came home and said she found something interesting but that I'd probably give it to the girls. What, a scratched up piece? Broken Bionicle? What I saw knocked my socks off.
Not complete but durn near. All paperwork and packaging in stellar condition.
Sorry girls. This is going in Daddy's LEGO museum.

LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 38
The 4 year old boy found the motorcycle. There are some other interesting finds too. This is my second Ninjago spinner. Stickers are a new thing to find though.
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 37
A little slice of Dagobah. The dark orange wedges only appear in 2 sets. One is the X-wing with Yoda's hut. The other is the X-wing with Yoda's hut, Trilogy Edition.

LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 33
A simple week and a little late this week. A 2x8 DUPLO brick. Always nice to have longer pieces. Plus a space marine helmet from the CMF line. I love the grip on the front of the face mask so the fig can hold his helmet. Classy.
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 31
A nice assortment of DUPLO plus a seriously outsized Magenta System cone. There are at least 5 different DUPLO sets represented here. Can you name them?
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 28
As far as I recall, this is my first instructions find. Always fun to take a look through for techniques. I mean, yeah, you can get them all online but it's so nice to touch paper.
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 27
Welcome to the second half of 2015! Or the third sixth or the xth 2xth. This week was a unique find. Of course aren't they all. Instead of the usual DUPLO or Bionicle I found a train track! Sadly no more train parts. There was an 8x16 plate that looked like it was run over by a technicolor steamroller though. The bottom was all mashed up and the top half had lost a fight with a marker. Tempting as it was I left that one behind. Gotta have some standards.
LEGO Finds - 2015 Week 26
Whoa. Amazing how my stats drop when I don't post often. I've been busy IRL with volunteer work in the community; NOT as a part of my parole deal. That's different. In the meantime, here are some nice finds. Another tub with lid, some little parts, and a deck of playing cards from LEGOLAND 2002. That makes them LEGO brand, right? Since Merlin didn't take over LEGOLAND until about 2005?
