While I'm waiting for a couple of orders to arrive I thought I'd use the interim to explain why I have a great track record of buying so far. I have a growing list of least favorite stores that have been added for particular reasons. Most are based off of information that has been posted in the forum and then researched by me. I don't just go off of one person's random statement. But there are a whole host of other stores that I have avoided for particular reasons.
Not shipping to the United States. Well that's obvious.
Taking too long to ship. I can understand a week at the most. But if I have to do your job for you and prod you every step, I'll not be back.
Charging a per lot fee of any kind for any reason. Too many lots over a certain amount. Too many "small" lots. Too many maths to figure out the piece/lot ratio. Really? Isn't that like me paying you to bring me silverware with my meal after I've already committed to pay for the food? Forget that Mr. Nickel and Dimer. Just add a penny to all your prices and call it good. You're messing up the price guide.
Charging a handling fee. Again, charging to bring my food. I can tolerate a small handling fee. But if you charge me any more than a dollar to pack my order then I'm going packing. Next!
Having a wall of text with an amazing amount of terms that you've added to your store that no one can possibly remember even as they're reading them partly due to the fact that you don't know how to use punctuation or really even have the slightest clue of what you're talking about it because it makes me wonder if you've used up all your thoroughness in your terms so that when you go to pack my order you'll go all anal explosive and just dump a bucket into a single baggie.
Charging me 5.99€ to fill out a customs form. O_o
Stacking parts and still calling them new. Bad form. Terms state that parts must be as they came out of the box. I don't think TLG stacks them in the box.
Being aggressive in the forums. If you should miss a piece or twelve I don't want to have to put up with your Type A+ personality to get recompense.
Sellers who offer coupons instead of refunds. You're forcing me to buy in your store again and you may have already turned me off. But if you leave me a coupon for leaving feedback for you, I might be more tempted to come back.
If you've been around Bricklink for a while you might recognize some of these practices. If you commit these practices you might consider changing your terms. If you make your terms a little friendlier you might get even more business.
Woohoo! Win-win!
