Got back into doing some MOCing last night and this shows up. Did we know this already? I sure didn't. Apparently the set of nubs to hold the stud is replicated by a second set of tighter nubs further up and further in. Double row of teeth?
A fez was used as the pot for the Rocket Raccoon and baby Groot polybag, where a brown carrot stem, which has the same diameter as those bars, was used for groot, and this very connection was used to hold it in, so I think it's safe to say we did know about that. What you did looks cool, though.
I got one, and I replaced the gold fez piece there with a white one (my own original idea), because in all the other baby groot merchandise I've seen, except for that polybag, the pot is white. I also took the arms off that Rocket and replaced them with dark grey ones, and placed Rocket's original arms, as well as those from another copy of the same torso, on Star Lord and Gamora (not my own original idea).
