Bricklink Seller Review - Cleator's Bricks

If you're a seller, what sort of market factors determine your longevity? Obviously determination and mental stamina to maintain a position for a long time. But other things as well. If you have employees you want them to be stress free. You want to make wise business decisions and try not to spend more than you make. Your pricing structure plays into this. Besides supply and demand you've also got acquisition. Then there's cost of processing. Of course, it's always wise to turn a profit. But it's also wise to stay near the market average unless you can justify a different bracket and sustain that level. How long can you sustain it? I'm always jealous of long time sellers with great feedback who can continually turn a profit with low prices. In the case of this business model, 2 out of 3 IS bad.

Why this store: Searching for a needed part in large quantity, seller had it for a lower than average price. Another needed lot in large quantity as well.

Recommendation

Initially I got a fairly high shipping quote so I inquired the reason. Box instead of bubble mailer? Apparently the seller accidentally confused me with another one of his buyer's and corrected the problem in short order. He reissued a new invoice and I had my package within 3 days. Just for kicks I audited the order and found all weights and shipping prices to be right on the new invoice. I see no reason why this seller shouldn't become an anchor store and reach 20,000 feedback at some point. The only question is how soon?
